Repair Process

 

Estimate

In the estimate process the vehicle is inspected and relevance data is entered in to the estimate computer systems. This data is compiled into an estimate that determines an estimated cost of repairs.

 

Insurance Approval

Once an estimate has been completed the insurance company, will often, review the estimate and give authorization to begin repairs on the vehicle.

 

Disassembly

In disassembly, the damaged portion(s) of the vehicle are removed from the vehicle, sometimes revealing hidden damage that may have not been initially assessed.

 

Parts Procurement

The required parts for the vehicle are ordered, and availability is checked, if a part needs to be special ordered, the order will be placed as soon as possible. Though most parts arrive very quickly the actual repair of the vehicle often can't begin until all the structural parts have been received.


Structural Repair

The first parts of a the vehicle that must be repaired are the structural components. In this step the unitized body is returned back to factory specification, a sophisticated measurement system is used to monitor and analyze the frame in order to assure an accurate repair.

 

Body Repair

Exterior panels and metal finishing are replaced or repaired, sheet metal is installed and aligned.


Paint

Paint preparation is a critical step in the refinishing process. All involved panels are prepared for paint, then primed and sealed to assure good adhesion when the final top color and clear coats of paint are applied.


Reassembly

Final molding and trim are put back in place on the vehicle for reassembly. All the vehicle's systems are checked, service repairs, front-end alignment and the like are preformed at this stage.

 

Clean up

After all repairs are complete and systems restored the vehicle is washed and detailed, going through a quality control process to assure taht the vehicle has been restored to it's pre-accident state.


Delivery

Delivery is the last step in the repair process. when a customer arrives to pick up the vehicle, the bill is explained and the final paper work is completed. The customer drives away in the vehicle that has been restored to it's pre-accident condition.
